Chibuike Amaechi To Deliver 1st CKN News Annual Lecture In Lagos

The Minister of Transportation, Honorable Chibuike Amaechi has been
 nominated to deliver the first Annual Lecture of Nigeria’s foremost Blog CKN
 News. This was announced recently in a Press Statement signed by the Publisher/Editor-In-Chief of the online newspaper, Chris Kehinde Nwandu (CKN).

According to him,  “Hon Amaechi was chosen to deliver the inaugural
 lecture based on his vast experience as a Legislator, former Chief Executive of one of Nigeria’s most viable States, as  a former
Student/youth leader, an astute mobilizer, a successful manager of men and
resources , a world acclaimed personality and politician, a rare attribute
not found in many Nigerians.”
Amaechi will be speaking on the topic: THE ROLE OF SOCIAL MEDIA IN THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT OF NIGERIA.
According to the organizers, the objectives of the lecture are:
*To Provide A Platform For Intellectual discuss On Issues Of National
 Importance
*To Create An Avenue For Cross Fertilization Of Ideas On Topical
  Issues as it affects blogging and online media practice
 *To Act As A forum To Set Agenda On Topical Socio-Economic And
  Political Issues
*To Create An Avenue For Online Practitioners/Bloggers To Meet And
 Exchange Notes On How To Improve Their Practice.

The event is scheduled to hold on Tuesday 13th June 2017 at
 Renaissance Hotel, 38/40 Isaac John Street, GRA Ikeja Lagos at 11am and is expected to be graced by Nigerians and foreigners from all walks of
 life.

The chief host, Chris Kehinde Nwandu, who also is the President of Guild Of Professional Bloggers in Nigeria (GPBN) assured that arrangement is in top gear to make the event a success. He noted that this will be the first time any Nigerian blogger will put up such an interactive intellectual based event.
According to him, the act of Blogging as a means of information dissimilation has gone beyond being mere gossip platforms.
“It has over the years revolved into a viable tool for information
management, shaping opinions and spreading news with the speed of
 lightening”, said he. .
 “Act of blogging has become real business with followers running into
 millions across the globe. There is the need therefore to reposition the platforms in tune with best global practices and set ethical standard and
behaviours for its practitioners which was the aim of setting up the Guild
Of Professional Bloggers Of Nigeria (GPBN) in the first place” he emphasized.

CKN News was established in 2009 to give Nigeria’s at home and in diaspora
